The Côte de Nuits

The Côte de Nuits begins south of Dijon and continues for about 20km until just north of Ladoix Serrigny. It encompasses numerous famous Villages : Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny, Vougeot, Vosne Romanée, Nuits Saint Georges…

Facing east, it is made up of rugged valleys with very sparse vegetation at the top, varying in height from 200 to 300 metres. Its vineyards are unevenly dotted over a mere 1 500 hectares and produce mainly great red wines of which 24 are Grands Crus; the famous Romanée du Château de Vosne Romanée is one of the prestigious appellations which have made this Côte so famous.
