Corton-Charlemagne : This Grand Cru is situated around the three Villages of Ladoix Serrigny, Pernand Vergelesses and mainly Aloxe Corton. The Bouchard Père & Fils Estate Corton Charlemagne comes from Aloxe Corton.

Corton : This great wine can also come from Ladoix Serrigny, Pernand Vergelesses and mainly Aloxe Corton. It can be followed by the name of the "Climat" from which it comes, such as Corton "Le Corton" Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils which is produced in Aloxe Corton.

The name of Pernand comes from the celtic "nan" meaning springs, or a place with many springs. The Village is very old, dating from the Later Roman Empire (3rd century), at the bottom of a little valley, at the foot of the Corton mountain. The vines are planted at an altitude of about 300 metres and give wines with fresh, strong aromas, with some musky notes in the reds whereas the whites are usually lively, light and fresh, acquiring notes of honey with age.
